Taking into consideration that there are 10 CSULB students under quarantine, air flight tickets have supposedly decreased in prices, and that fact that hand sanitizer is now a hot commodity, would you still attend an art fair during this strange and confusing crisis we're dealing with?
The many that contributed to the art fairs in NY were very surprised to see that the attendance of people exceeded their expectations. Volta and The Armory both had great results considering that foot traffic was also lighter than usual. An artist that was participating in one of the art fairs mentioned that she had other art fairs to attend. She also mentioned that major events have been canceled in other countries to contain that issue of the virus. Should other art fairs and events follow their lead? Or just hope for the best?
